The camps are solidarity journeys during which participants actively engage themselves in helping underprivileged populations of the South. The age of participants ranges from 18 to 80. After approximately 8 months of preparation in Switzerland, participants are immerged into the life of a village, participating in the implementation of an aid project as well as several village activities. The work on a development project is primarily a way to interact with the locals. It also symbolically contributes to the improvement of the economic, social or environmental situation in the host country. A camp experience emphasizes on the commitment to solidarity and allows the encounter with different cultures of our world.
The journey lasts three weeks and takes place during the months of October, November and December. The group preparation starts early march.
Currently, the upcoming camps will leave in Fall 2012.
An information and camp creation meeting was held on the 7 of March 2012 in Lausanne.
There are still some vacancies for the camps in Senegal, Burkina Faso and Vietnam.
